Cardinal Points Illustration

Freehand, Photoshop

This illustration was created for an article in Cardinal Points, the magazine of one of New Zealand's leading software companies, Cardinal.

The article, entitled 'Beyond the Apocalypse', discusses how many businesses have recognised the effect that the millennium bug could have on their information systems, but have failed to recognise the ability of their software to work effectively beyond 2000. This article outlines how businesses can 'kill two birds with one stone', by developing solutions that are not only Year 2000 compliant, but are future proof and geared for the new millennium. Not surprisingly, these solutions would be built using Jade, Cardinal's RAD toolkit.

The illustration represents the 'unravelling information superhighway' in a post-apocalyptic millennium. It was run over two facing pages, with the text set below.
